The PDW-U2 extends the IT credentials of XDCAM by offering a simple and portable drive that can be used with a PC or Mac for viewing purposes (using free Sony software) or full read/write access with a compatible NLE. As a highly successful alternative to the PWD-U, the PDW-U2 supports the use of four, double and single XDCAM Professional Disk media, offering capacity of up to 128 G. Rewritable Triple layer disks will be supported at a later stage.
